Flowers of Love

By: Kathleen Vibbert

To a rose in summer's brilliant sun
Each bead of rain caressed
When the evening falls and day is done
I know my love is blessed

On the morning glory's countenance
A smile is lifted up
Love is born to live but once
New life is held within it's cup

Among the lilies pure and fair
Are hidden jewels, a treasure
With baby's breath my love I share
I feel the touch of sweetest pleasure

A chest of golden daffodils
Gathered by the field
So quickly now my soul is filled
To love's reward, my heart can yield
