In my dreams I see you
Just you and I all alone.
Talking underneath the stars
And feeling right at home.
We looked in each others eyes
And I took you in my arms,
I just held you and held you
Protecting you from the world's many harms.
I gazed into your eyes again
And saw my love and my world right in front of me,
I whispered "I Love You"
Leaned over and kissed you tenderly.
As our lips drew further apart
I could still taste your lips of wine,
We looked at each other once again
And I wished I could suspend time.
Along the shore we walked
Holding hands never wanting to let go,
A tie that binds with a love so strong
More than anyone could ever know.
We talked and talked
For what seemed to be forever,
But being close to you in my dreams
Felt like we were together.
Laying on the sand
Listening to the tumbling tides,
You drift away into my arms
And in my heart nothing hides.
As the sun is about to rise
I fall back down from Heaven to Earth,
And I wake up with a smile on my face
